"Mortal" their first EP in 13months.
DÄLLE officially began their activities in 2015.
This 11th EP marks the final release featuring
the current lineup.
For approximately six years—from late 2015 to
the spring of 2022—the band operated with
an unchanging core trio of
ryo (vocals), kozi (guitar), and xxxatsushi (bass).
With the "Mortal" EP, this chapter of DÄLLE
comes to an end.
This EP represents a challenge to explore new
forms of expression for the band.
Melancholic piano, shoegaze-style guitar, and driving
trance synths emerge from a wall of noise, joined by
female backing vocals. The song shifts from
a pop-oriented verse to a melodic chorus,
then transitions into a verse featuring dark strings
and ryo’s growling vocals, before concluding
with a final, fast-paced, melodic chorus.
DÄLLE’s dark world and melodic songwriting
take on a fresh dimension here.
